georgian-chest-of-drawers-4
Georgian Chest of Drawers
This Georgian oak chest of drawers would bring warmth, character and practical storage to a bedroom, dressing room or traditional living space. Its rich natural timber, classic proportions and shaped feet create a timeless presence, while the unusual stepped arrangement adds distinctive visual interest.

The chest has been cut into two halves, with one half of the carcass sitting securely on top of the other. It features five spacious drawers, including two smaller upper drawers and three full-width drawers below, each fitted with traditional brass drop handles and key escutcheons. A moulded top, shaped bracket feet and attractive oak grain complete its period appearance.

The previous finish has been fully stripped by hand before a fresh coat of clear lacquer was applied, helping to protect the timber while enhancing the natural grain. The chest is in good condition for its age, with some minor cosmetic imperfections consistent with a vintage piece. This item is made predominantly from solid oak, with pine drawer sections.

With its generous storage, warm colouring and distinctive Georgian design, this chest would make a practical and characterful addition to a period or country-style interior. Its unusual two-part construction also offers a memorable alternative to a conventional chest of drawers.

[dimensions][w]101[/w][h]101[/h][d]52[/d][/dimensions
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1526/7737/files/DLP006-b68ebbc248604209a4f4a0157030a1ff-1792852741.jpg?v=1792853551
