Its simple proportions make it particularly useful in rooms where plenty of organised clothing storage is needed.

This Large Pine Chest of Drawers is an imposing and practical piece, featuring four exceptionally wide, deep drawers that offer an impressive amount of storage. The substantial scale makes the drawers well suited to bulkier clothing, bedding and linens, while the traditional brass handles complement the straightforward pine construction. A gently moulded top and solid plinth give the chest a simple, traditional appearance, with the natural grain running prominently across the broad drawer fronts.

The previous finish has been stripped back to reveal the natural pine, before wax was applied to protect the timber and give it a warm, understated finish. Signs of its previous life remain visible throughout, including knocks, scratches, marks, filled fixing holes and general surface wear, all consistent with an older piece of furniture and shown in the photographs. The brass fittings also display natural age-related patination. This item is made entirely from pine. It should be noted that the handles on the top drawer are different to the rest.

With four unusually large drawers and a substantial overall build, this chest provides considerably more storage than many smaller examples. Its uncomplicated design and natural pine finish make it a practical piece with plenty of established character.

[dimensions][w]155[/w][h]131[/h][d]74[/d][/dimensions]
