The gaps between the oak planks have been filled with walnut strips, and the edging is also constructed from walnut.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe legs were hand-made on a lathe and provide an attractive feature and a stable base to this coffee table. Right across this piece are details which reflect the fact that this wood was once part of a workbench. There are dowels and other visible features which have been smoothed over and give this table lots of industrial character.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAll the wood was cut to size to remove the old layers of stain and provide fresh planks to work with. Once the table was assembled, a clear lacquer was then applied to accentuate the beauty of the wood and provide protection.
