This sits on top of the two large pedestals, each with a storage cupboard containing shelving options. One key is provided. There is then a central panel or faux drawer front, below the desktop and between the pedestals. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe rear of the desk features faux drawer and cupboard fronts, giving the appearance of a traditional partner desk. There is, however, plenty of workspace to have two people sitting on either side and working at the same time. This elegant desk is a mixture of solid oak and oak-veneer. The internal shelving sections are plywood.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur restoration workshop has stripped and cleaned this desk before applying a professional matt lacquer that enhances the natural character of the oak as well as providing a good level of everyday protection. As with all lacquered oak furniture, care is always needed when placing hot or sharp items, and we recommend that special consideration be given when using computers and other electrical items.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe ornate hinges and escutcheons along with the attractive carvings and curved legs give this desk plenty of French style. It is a reproduction of Louis XV style furniture.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe dimensions show the maximum measurements of this desk. For reference, the knee-hole to accommodate a chair is 51cm wide and 65cm high from the floor to the underside of the central panel.
