The ornate escutcheons and hinges, along with the curved legs, are typically French and add to the visual appeal. The central shelf inside the cupboard space is made of five removable planks, and the cupboard bases are also constructed from removable planks that slot together using a tongue and groove system.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe have stripped the old finish on this sideboard to reveal the natural oak underneath. We have then applied a clear lacquer to accentuate the beauty of the wood grain and offer protection for years to come. The construction of this piece is a mixture of solid oak and oak veneer, with plywood used for the drawer bases.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a quality-crafted piece of French furniture that will not only provide a great amount of practical storage, but will also add a huge amount of style and charm to any home.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNote: There is a split in the right door panel and in the planks used for the top surface, which all add to this sideboard's character.
