Whether used for books, collectables, or decorative pieces, a barrister bookcase offers flexibility and timeless appeal.

This early 20th-century ‘Gunn Angus’ barrister bookcase is a versatile and stylish piece featuring two stacking sections with fold-up glass doors, it offers ample space to display and protect books or treasured items. The warm oak tones and clean lines reflect craftsmanship, giving it an understated elegance. This is a high-quality bookcase by a well-known furniture maker. There are a couple of filler marks on the left side that can be seen in the pictures.

The bookcase has been carefully stripped of its previous finish and lacquered to enhance the natural beauty of the wood while providing a durable, long-lasting surface. However, some stains on the top could not be fully removed, adding to its character and history. This item is made from oak, with plywood backs.

With its combination of functionality and antique charm, this bookcase is a great choice for those who appreciate vintage furniture with a story to tell.
